About Ivy

These skills help students not only in chess but also in everyday life. My goal is to help students develop a deeper understanding of the game while building important mental skills that can benefit them in school and beyond.

About the lesson

With 7 years of experience teaching chess, I have had the pleasure of guiding students from school to college levels. My passion for education drives me to help every student discover the joy and challenge of chess. I believe chess is not just a game but a powerful tool to develop critical thinking, patience, and problem-solving skills. Over the years, I have seen many of my students improve their game and gain confidence, which motivates me to keep teaching with dedication and care.

Throughout my career, I have reached important milestones, such as helping students win school and regional chess tournaments and seeing them achieve personal bests. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, making learning both fun and effective. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and grow. I am committed to sharing my knowledge and passion for chess to help learners reach their full potential on and off the board.
