About Ka Yee
Hi everyone! I am Coco, a linguistics graduate from the City University of Hong Kong and an enthusiastic language tutor. Having lived in Hong Kong my whole life, Cantonese is my native tongue, and I am genuinely excited to share the richness of my language and culture with learners from all over the world!
My journey with languages goes far beyond the textbook. I spent an incredible semester on exchange at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and completed a Teaching English as a Second Language programme in York, UK. As a fellow language learner currently tackling both German and Japanese, I completely understand the hurdles, plateaus, and occasional frustrations 🥲 that come with picking up a new tongue. Because I have walked that exact path myself, I know how to break down complex ideas into manageable, stress-free steps.
