About James
About Me
I am a "Tradigital" artist and designer with over 20 years of commercial 3D experience. Operating from my design studio in Helensburgh, Scotland, I hold a BA (Honours) in Applied Design from Edinburgh College of Art. My professional background spans major visualisation projects for renewable energy, robotics, and entertainment—including providing a 3D model of the Hubble Telescope to NASA and creating assets for Marvel/Disney. My Teaching Approach
I have successfully mentored dozens of Blender students of all ages and skill levels. My sessions are entirely project-based and adapted to your specific goals. I have guided 10-year-olds mastering their first 3D printers, helped fine artists create complex physical installations, and mentored working professionals overcoming bottlenecks in architectural visualisation and game design.
