I’m a Math tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics. I specialize in helping non-STEM students see that advanced math can be approachable and meaningful. My focus is on understanding concepts deeply and appreciating their relevance, rather than relying on heavy computation. I believe that grasping the “why” behind a concept is far more powerful than memorizing formulas.
In my lessons, I use everyday analogies to make abstract ideas relatable and clear. I also draw on the history of mathematics, showing how ideas evolved and shaped the world. Highlighting the big ideas behind complex theories helps students see patterns, connections, and the beauty in mathematics. This approach makes learning engaging and intuitive.
I’ve worked extensively with liberal arts students, humanities scholars, and those who want to overcome past math anxiety. Together, we transform uncertainty into curiosity and frustration into understanding. I create a supportive environment where questions are welcomed and exploration is encouraged.
