About Lilah
My lessons are designed to make math feel alive and full of possibilities. Every topic is approached with curiosity and creativity. Algebra becomes a tool for solving real-life problems. I’m a Math tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics. My passion lies in helping non-STEM majors discover that math is not an intimidating wall of numbers, but a rich landscape of ideas and connections. I take a holistic approach, focusing on understanding the “why” behind concepts rather than overwhelming students with endless calculations.
In my lessons, complex theories become approachable through everyday analogies and real-life examples. I often bring in historical context to show how mathematical ideas shaped cultures, discoveries, and the world we live in. I highlight the big ideas behind theorems so students see the beauty in the structure, not just the mechanics.
I’ve worked extensively with liberal arts students, humanities scholars, and individuals determined to move past math anxiety. Together, we replace fear with curiosity and frustration with clarity. My goal is to create an environment where questions are celebrated and understanding grows naturally.
Math, to me, is a universal language that speaks across disciplines and backgrounds. It can illuminate patterns in literature, guide artistic design, and reveal truths in history. I want my students to leave with not only stronger skills but a deeper appreciation of math’s role in the world.
