You will gain the ability to read sheet music with total ease. I conduct a diagnostic skills check before building a lesson plan that reflects your current proficiency. Understanding chord transitions and rhythm guitar requires a systematic approach to movement.
My training at the UBC School of Music informs how I present complex theory concepts to my students. Teen learners and adults alike find that my method removes the usual guesswork. Rhythm is everything. We prioritize technical mastery during every single minute of our time together.

Music has been my constant companion since I began my classical studies. I am a UBC School of Music graduate who prioritizes clear communication. My 13 years of experience have helped me work with 160 students including hobbyists and working professionals. I embrace a neurodivergent-affirming perspective to ensure every student feels heard.
My teaching style is unhurried and intentionally detail-oriented. The goal is to build a foundation that feels natural. I enjoy seeing students connect with their instruments in a way that feels authentic to them. Maybe we should start with where you feel stuck.
