About Nick
Hi!
My name is Nicholas, I am currently completing my own scientific research to end my Master's degree in Marine and Antarctic Science. This is my 6th year of university, so it's safe to say I've had my fair share of study and learning.
Through this experience, I've come to understand that each student has their own 'best' ways to learn and retain information, and it took me a while before I found my own strategies and strengths, and I was never lucky enough to have a tutor, but looking back I know it would have really helped me to excel through the years where I struggled in high school.
I really enjoy teaching and helping people to be better, so tutoring is a job I take a lot of pride in, and to help students is a rewarding experience. I consider myself patient, easygoing and friendly, whilst also being able to clearly and professionally explain difficult concepts.

Personalized lessons, teaching to your strengths, whether that be visual or repetition or audial. I like to know how the student responds best to the content, as each student has their own ways of learning. A lesson is typically one hour, but as that doesn't work for some individuals, the recommended length of any period of focus is 30 mins, then a short break, then 30 mins again.
I have tutored during my undergraduate studies, as well as for family friends.
My lessons are aimed at high school level students primarily, but can also teach younger, or university level students.
