Both my children began their musical lives by learning piano from Heather. Heather is a talented, warm, funny, smart, enthusiastic, flexible teacher who approached each of them differently. My daughter took to piano right away and stuck with it until she left for college. Her weekly lessons with Heather were fun, stabilizing times for her, and Heather has become an important mentor in her life. My daughter still plays piano (beautifully) for fun and relaxation and stays in touch with Heather. Though my daughter's younger brother was also dying to start piano when she did, he was five and couldn't yet read. Heather found creative ways to teach him to read music using coloring books and games. With Heather, he learned the basics of music, and though he eventually moved to guitar, Heather definitely solidified my son's love of music. Heather is also the one who realized that he has perfect pitch. Overall, Heather is an accomplished professional who gives her all to her students and inspires them to do the same. We, as a family, feel so grateful we found her and have her in our lives.
