My approach is to always try to understand things thoroughly instead of learning them by heart. I believe that anyone can begin to love mathematics and physics only after understanding it, people often believed to hate these subjects because of the wrong way in which they are taught in school. With a little bit of initial effort you get into the right pace and anyone can get good at it.
