About Sashini

I am a Biomedical Science graduate with around 6 years of tutoring experience, including 3 years of tutoring experience in the UK and 3 years in Sri Lanka. I currently work as an online tutor, supporting students in Maths and Biology at primary and secondary levels.

My academic background in Biomedical Science has given me a strong foundation in Biology and related scientific subjects, while my tutoring experience has helped me develop a patient, friendly and personalised approach to teaching.

I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to learn from their mistakes. I aim to make lessons engaging and easy to understand while helping students develop confidence and become independent learners.

Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for an exam, improving their grades or simply building confidence, I tailor my lessons to their individual needs and learning pace.

About the lesson

I believe every student learns differently, so I use a friendly, patient and personalised approach to help students understand concepts clearly and build confidence in their abilities.

My lessons are interactive and adapted to each student's individual needs. I begin by identifying the student's current level, strengths and areas for improvement. I then explain concepts step-by-step using simple explanations, examples and visual methods where appropriate. Students are given plenty of opportunities to practise questions, ask questions and apply what they have learnt.

For exam-year students, I also focus on exam technique, past-paper questions, time management and identifying areas where marks can be gained or lost.

Lessons are typically 1 hour long, although I can adapt the lesson length depending on the student's age, level and requirements.

I have around 6 years of tutoring experience, including 3 years of tutoring experience in the UK and 3 years in Sri Lanka. I have experience supporting students at different levels and with different learning needs.

I teach **Maths and Biology** to primary and secondary-school students, including students preparing for **GCSE, IGCSE and O-Level examinations**, where applicable.

My aim is not simply to help students complete their homework, but to help them understand the subject, become more confident and develop the skills to solve questions independently.
