About Janene
As an experienced teacher and tutor I've worked with many students age 4 to adult focusing mostly on writing, reading comprehension and retention, homework, study and organizational skills. My teaching was in the field of communication (writing, public speaking, etc.) in colleges, universities and organizations, and such experience is applied to the tutoring I do. I appreciate the one-to-one experience of tutoring to get to know a student and figure out how we can best work together for the student to get what they need. I work well with people and am knowledgeable, a good listener, caring, understanding fun, enthusiastic and able to create a safe environment for students to express themselves and learn and grow. I see myself as support for the student gaining both increased skills and more confidence.
