About Mahrukh

Hello, my name is Mahrukh studying Bachelor of Law at University of Cambridge. I know a lot of words can come off as boring at times therefore join my short and crisp lessons targeting key areas and learning new techniques. I have tutored this subject for 4 years now and offered my expertise to aspiring college students for their applications. I also hold an A* in English language in GCSEs. In addition to this, I scored 9A*s in GCSEs and 3A*s at A level. I have competed at international essay writing competitions 7 times and have secured first position thrice. These experiences have allowed me foster new writing and expression techniques. Not only this but I also have a 7-year experience in debating (MUNs) and British parliamentary debates, I have held the office of the President of the debating society three years in a row in the past and have acquired great oracy, persuasive and expressive skills. Under my guidance my students have secured admission in top universities like King's College, New York University, Soka University, Babson College etc. My tailored sessions for each student allows us to connect on a deeper level and curate perfect college essays and CVs. I have worked in the counselling industry for two years which has allowed me to gain enough experience to help you achieve your dreams. Think of these lessons as an investment as I can assure you that success is guaranteed!

About the lesson

The lessons first start with a chat for us to know each other better, the students are also encouraged to elaborate upon the issue they are facing and what they need to improve. We then move forward to the plan that we are going to follow which is purely custom made and aligns with the issue discussed earlier. After an introductory chat we move forward with the agenda that we have set for ourselves and so the work begins. Students are allowed to ask as many questions as they need to. Online games are incorporated in the session to make them more fun. Short chat breaks are also included in the classes for both; ice breaking and refocusing purposes. Students are constantly guided on each step of the task outlined for them. Short rapid-fire rounds are also incorporated in some classes to assess the student's understanding of the lessons. At the end of every lesson students are asked to say out three emotions they are feeling about today's class and the feedback is carefully noted for the session.
