About Deeksha
Hi! My name is Deeksha - I'm a patient tutor who genuinely engages with each student to create a low-stress, comfortable environment. I believe every student has the capacity to achieve top grades — they often just need the belief and support to get there. That's why I focus on clear, constructive feedback: being specific about what you're doing well, honest about where you can improve, and consistent in reminding you that improvement is always within reach. I will do everything I can to create the most comfortable environment possible in sessions, so students can not only do well in English, but enjoy it!

My approach:
I work with students aged 12–16, whether you're already in the thick of your GCSEs or preparing a couple of years ahead of sitting them. Lessons are tailored to your level, so whether you're building foundations early or fine-tuning before exams, we adjust the pace and depth to suit you. I don't just teach you how to answer questions — I teach technique. Instead of rushing through content, I dig into the specific issues you're struggling with and work through them step by step, addressing the root cause rather than papering over it. We don't move on until you can show me you truly understand.
Lesson length:
Sessions typically run 1 hour, though we can extend this depending on what you're working through and how deep we need to go on a particular topic.
Results & experience:
Last year, I helped three GCSE students go from a grade 4 to a grade 7 within a single term, and supported a Year 12 student in moving from a B to an A*. Beyond the grades, what I hear back most often from students isn't just "I understood it" — it's that lessons were comfortable, enjoyable, and something they looked forward to rather than dreaded.
