About Maya
I studied History at the London School of Economics, and have tutored for many years. I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence, and my number 1 priority is finding the part of the subject that interests you. I want these lessons to be fun, while building your confidence and understanding. I know that everyone learns differently, so I will adapt to your approach, and create a comfortable space where you can ask any question. Whether your aim is improving understanding, building essay skills, or preparing for exams, I aim to make every lesson supportive, productive and encouraging. I know how tough exams are, and will make this something to look forward to!

With tutoring experience of 5+ years, I have a relaxed approach to lessons, usually an hour long, with open discussions and conversation encouraged. This is then backed up with regular testing and questions, with independent study and homework tasks. I believe that a vital part of tutoring is sparking interest in the student, so I will strive to find the part of the subject that interests the student, invoking passion, and therefore making study more fun and effective.
