About Taras
Hi, I'm Taras and I'm a second-year BSc Economics undergraduate at the London School of Economics, where I'm on course to achieve First Class Honours and have come 4th/532 students in my most recent maths module.
At A Level, I took Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics (A*A*AA) and I also have 12 GCSEs (8 A*s, 3 As, A FSMQ in Additional Maths).
I've also had a lot of extra- and supra-curricular experience; I play several sports and sing, have represented the UK at European Youth Parliament, and served as both Secretary of the LSE Trading Society and Events Director of the LSE Ukrainian Society.

I work with students in 60 minute time slots, mixing lesson content with exercises and feedback. I primarily work with GCSE and A Level students, but have also tutored people in introductory maths courses at university. I am also DBS Enhanced checked.
For students to succeed, I steadfastly believe that their work should focus on the revision and understanding of previous work done. To this end, I supplement lesson content with additional questions, detailed further feedback and continuous discussion to ensure true comprehension.
My aim is to reduce difficult subject matter down to the foundations, and then construct chains of knowledge more deeply, so that students are able to answer questions with all the underlying understanding. I hope to be able to do this in a fun, enjoyable way!
