About Alicia
I have always worked personal service jobs my entire life, from bartending and waitressing, to now running my own personal service business with a roster of clients, and parenting two very busy children! Small connected experiences have always been my strong point, but my creative mind never slows down so I love having many dreams on the go at once. I love teaching language, though I’ve always done it socially, not formally. I teach the way I learn, which is with small digestible lessons that gradually tie into a larger picture for speech the way it is actually spoken. I was often very frustrated trying to learn another language in school where they would only teach you formal words and sentence structure, rather than conversation. I feel that conversation should be the foundation for the more formal or advanced language skills to build upon. I am also an excellent poker teacher, and have taught many people the foundations for playing Craps as well! Learning should be fun. Love to learn, and the learning will come easy!
