About Alfie
Hi I'm Alfie!
Honestly, tutoring is one of my favourite things in the world — I've been doing it for 10 years now and I still get a real buzz out of it. Every student is different, so I never just stick to one way of working. If one approach isn't clicking, we'll try another, and another, until it actually makes sense — the goal is always that they can do it confidently on their own, not just follow along with me. I also try to keep things light and fun where I can, because learning sticks so much better when you're not dreading it!

I specialise in results-driven coaching for entrance exams (4+, 7+, 11+, 13+), GCSE, and interview preparation, and am the author of five guides, including my newest release, Navigating the 11+.
My students routinely gain places at leading schools, including Eton, Harrow, St Paul's Girls', Wycombe Abbey, North London Collegiate, Latymer Upper, Godolphin and Latymer, City of London School for Girls, Merchant Taylors', Tonbridge, and many others. My approach pairs exacting standards with genuine encouragement, so students build confidence alongside competence. It's not unusual for families to weigh several strong offers at once — the product of steady coaching and disciplined exam technique. For GCSE candidates, a jump of two full grades is typical, with several students improving even further.
