About Sebastian
I've always been the kind of person who lights up explaining how something works, whether it's a biology concept or a math problem, and that curiosity carried me through my Biology degree at Queen's University. My time as an Educational Assistant and supply teacher showed me just how much a little patience and the right explanation can change a student's confidence, and it's what pulled me toward tutoring in the first place. For me, teaching isn't just about getting to the right answer — it's about helping students fall a little bit in love with learning the way I did.

Every lesson is built around the student in front of me, not a one-size-fits-all script. I start by figuring out how each student learns best — whether that's working through problems step-by-step, using visual diagrams, or connecting concepts to real-world examples — and adjust my approach from there. Sessions are interactive and hands-on: we work through practice problems together, break down tricky concepts piece by piece, and revisit anything that isn't clicking until it does. I keep track of each student's progress and adapt future lessons based on where they're improving and where they still need support, so every session builds on the last rather than starting from scratch.
