About Lily
I am currently a veterinary medical student, and I’m already a BSc Zoology graduate. This makes my foundational knowledge specifically in biology is very strong, but I also have an A level in English Literature which comes from my strong interest in creative writing. My ability to teach English, Maths and the sciences is established from my previous experience.
My regular voluntary work (every summer) at a primary and high school in India, from when I was 16 years old, makes me incredibly experienced with students aged 11-18. This is evidence of my dedication to education. I have also volunteered for 3 months as a teaching assistant at a primary school in the UK.
I look forward to inspiring and most importantly ensuring students are successful in their chosen subject.

- I strictly follow the given syllabus and take inspiration from textbooks regarding practice questions. If the student can’t identify an area they are struggling with, we will run through past papers until a hard topic is highlighted. Once identified, I will run through the topic slowly and will repeatedly test them on the area to consolidate their learning.
- I volunteer annually at a primary and high school in India. I also guide and train other volunteers to teach at the school in India. The classes I teach are English, Maths, Sciences and humanities.
- I have had experience volunteering as a teaching assistant at a UK-based primary school for 3 months, where I was responsible for developing creative ways to keep students engaged while teaching lessons.
- I am now comfortable teaching whole classes and tutoring individually for students aged 11-18.
- Typical lesson length is 1 hour, however I am happy to give more time if needed.
