About Riko

University of Sussex student. I was playing an alto saxophone in the wind orchestra band at school (we also did marching music) for 5 years in Japan, and been progressed onto the national-level competitions multiple times. I was also teaching juniors at school how to play, which I really enjoyed. A music lover and saxophone lover. Please feel free to ask any questions and I’ll try to answer as clear as possible. Hope to hear from you!

About the lesson

I’m flexible in terms of how I teach and I’ll make it tailored to each person. I adapt to my student’s level and preferences - from beginner to already-experienced. I have an alto saxophone if my student wants to use it during the lesson. I’d prefer to have a chat with my student to listen to what they wanna achieve and how they like to be taught. Music is a fun tool of communication - I try to teach in a way that is joyful and effective at the same time.
