I am an English Language Coach, Business Blogger, Filmmaker, and former Financial Services executive. I've worked for US and EU Investment Banks and energy companies as well as corporate training and professional development agencies, media co-operatives and a series of non-profits.

A good coach mainly listens and does not suggest. However once the coachee has had a chance to articulate what is happening in their life and the goals and obstacles their are in their consciousness, that is when the coach is able to reflect back what has been said by the coachee, and allow the coachee to listen to their own waking suggestions. If at that stage the coachee asks for the coaches own thoughts, then I would be happy to share my views, but only once the coachee has had a chance to listen to themselves. We know more about ourselves than we know we know. We often just need a chance to explore our own thoughts and more importantly - our imagination.
