About Teddy

I'm a documentary filmmaker and journalist with over five years of private tutoring experience. I’ve worked on major programmes for ITV News, helping to shape stories that reach millions—from interviewing Prime Ministers to producing royal specials. I’ve always believed that education should feel exciting, not intimidating, and I bring that same mindset into every lesson. Teaching has never been a side project for me—it's at the heart of what I do. Whether it's through film or one-to-one tutoring, my goal is always to explain complex ideas clearly, creatively, and with real-world relevance. I hold a degree from a top UK university and a deep love for the humanities, but more importantly, I know how to make students care about what they’re learning. I’m here for anyone who wants to grow in confidence, improve their academic performance, or rediscover a spark for the subject. If that sounds like you, I’d love to help.

About the lesson

I offer structured, engaging lessons in History, Politics, Media Studies, and English for all levels up to GCSE. Every session is personalised—whether you're looking to improve essay technique, tackle challenging content, or aim for top exam results. I’ve worked as a documentary filmmaker and Assistant Producer at ITV News, where I helped create major programmes including interviews with Prime Ministers and coverage of royal events. These experiences allow me to bring real-world insight into my lessons, making subjects more relevant, exciting, and accessible. Lessons are held online and typically include guided discussion, practical tasks, and targeted feedback. I focus on developing critical thinking, clear writing, and the confidence to express ideas effectively—key skills for exams and beyond. Whether you’re working towards a specific goal or just want to feel more in control of your learning, I’ll help you build strong foundations and a genuine interest in the subject.
