About Lloyd

I have over 15 years' experience working in mobile and web development, having worked with global brands like RedBull, Motorola, adidas, Comic Relief, Ubisoft, Three, Cadbury and Specsavers. For the last 2 years I have also been teaching primary and secondary students in the fields of computer programming and robotics, covering subjects like Scratch, Javascript, Lego Robotics and 3D printing. Core Skills: - Scratch - Javascript - 3D printing - Lego Robotics - iOS Development - Android Development - Unity Game Development - Arduino - Hummingbird robotics I've built and delivered multiple award-winning digital applications and have a real passion for designing and delivering innovative digital solutions that add real value. Please note I have a recent DBS check. I can tutor online, in London or in the Hertfordshire area

About the lesson

I believe the best introduction to programming and robotics is through practical applications. So that might be programming a computer game or building a robotic arm. The project should present enough challenges that encourages students to problem solve which cements the concepts to memory once it has been worked through. I teach a variety of subjects and as every child learns in different ways I adjust lessons to the level of the student which we can discuss before we meet. I can help pupils who are just starting out through to more professional help, e.g., preparing for portfolios or industry requirements.

Perfect! Lloyd is great. Although based in England he’s been helping my son with SQA higher computing and is great at explaining how codes work and why the changes are done to fix code that isn’t quite working. My son is loving the classes and Lloyd makes someone already engaged in the subject love it even more. We are impresssed and would highly recommend Lloyd to anyone keen to learn more.

Lloyd has been amazing, and knows his stuff. My son (who has ASD) has really enjoyed his sessions and connected with Lloyd. He has also been super flexible when we've had to change/move a lesson at the last minute. The lessons are well prepared and well organised.
