About Precious

Hello! My name is Precious and I am an LLB student with a genuine passion for learning, teaching and helping others understand challenging concepts.

My tutoring approach is patient, supportive and student-centred. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to identify areas that need attention and explain concepts in a clear and straightforward way. Rather than simply providing answers, I encourage students to understand the reasoning behind their work so that they can become more confident and independent learners.

I offer tutoring support in isiZulu and related academic subjects, particularly for students who need help understanding difficult concepts, preparing for tests and examinations, working through assignments, or improving their study and academic skills.

During my lessons, students can expect a welcoming and comfortable environment where they are encouraged to ask questions without hesitation. I use practical examples, step-by-step explanations, revision exercises, and exam-focused techniques to make learning more manageable and effective.

My goal is to help each student make meaningful progress while developing the confidence and skills they need to succeed academically.

About the lesson

My approach to private tutoring:

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs, learning style, and academic goals. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and interactive. I focus not only on helping students understand the work, but also on building their confidence and developing effective study and problem-solving skills.

What makes my approach unique is that I aim to make lessons practical and easy to understand. I break difficult concepts into simpler parts, use relatable examples, and encourage students to ask questions and actively participate. I also identify areas where a student may be struggling and adapt the lesson accordingly.

Languages:

I am proficient in English and isiZulu and can conduct lessons in either language where appropriate. I can also use both languages to explain difficult concepts and make learning more accessible.

What to expect from a typical lesson:

A typical lesson begins by identifying the student's learning needs and reviewing any areas they may be struggling with. We then work through the relevant topic step-by-step, using explanations, examples, exercises, and questions to reinforce understanding. I encourage students to participate throughout the lesson rather than simply listen.

Lessons can also include revision, homework assistance, preparation for tests and examinations, and guidance on study techniques. At the end of a lesson, I make sure the student understands the key concepts and knows what they should focus on before the next session.

My lessons are suitable for primary school, high school, and students who need additional academic support, depending on the subject. I particularly welcome students who need help understanding difficult topics, preparing for assessments, improving their academic performance, or developing greater confidence in their studies.

Whether a student needs regular tutoring or occasional assistance before an examination, my goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where they can ask questions freely, learn at their own pace, and make meaningful academic progress.
