About Kat
Hello, my name is Kat and I am currently a Law with Business student at the University of Birmingham. I studied A-Level English Literature, Law, and Business, achieving AAA. I also have an NCFE Diploma in Business in which I achieved a Distinction*. I started tutoring all the way back in Year 9. I started off tutoring others in English as I was excelling and was even given the opportunity to write my English GCSEs early. I not only tutored my peers but I also helped some students in the year above. I found that people will often start to enjoy subjects that they are good at or understand, and helping others to learn how to enjoy subjects was very rewarding for me. Whether you are struggling or are completely new to a subject/topic, I hope to teach you to enjoy it. I am a patient and adaptable tutor. I have tutored many students ranging from age 4-18, in addition I have tutored my own younger siblings therefore I know that everyone has a different learning style, and I am more than happy to accommodate yours! I’m friendly and encouraging so never feel worried about asking any topic related questions. With my knowledge and experience, I hope to provide you, or your children with a supportive and engaging learning environment.

I am most prominent in teaching English Language and/or Literature, Law, and Business Studies at either GCSE or A-Level as I have achieved As and A*s in all these subjects. I also have experience of helping Year 13 students with applying to university and writing personal statements. For younger pupils, I am happy to help with early stage mathematics (I studied maths up to GCSE level where I achieved a B grade). Whether you prefer online or in person learning, I am happy to accommodate. Either way, I like to plan my sessions to be topic focused. I can help provide straightforward resources and study tips that make topics more digestible and easier to understand and apply.
