After a year of tutoring experience, the format of teaching I like to use is basic in explaining concepts and using/referring to case law to elaborate on areas or precedence of the law. This will help the student formulate answers to exam questions and pick up quickly on what they are struggling in.
Making it as interactive as possible is important, to help memorise and engage with the content, and will hopefully make the session enjoyable.
Diagrams, mind maps and different study skills will be experimented with and tailored to the student who may be struggling on how to 'revise' and help grasp difficult concepts-- I will help provide useful materials and explain in ways that will leave the student feeling confident.
The length of the lesson will be an hour, but possible to extend if needed. They are aimed for Year 12/13 students, or first year undergraduate law students.
