About Robbie
I am also a live-performing pianist specialising in contemporary rock, pop and modern classical music and play over 80 weddings and corporate events each year. So I am performance-ready and help my pupils play to improve and entertain themselves and others.
I started learning when I was 5 years old after my parents heard me picking out TV themes on the piano! I am classically trained but also play a lot by ear meaning I can help develop both your sight-reading and feel for the music you're playing.
Proper piano training is important as it helps develop fundamental skills and first-touch, but so is playing the music you want to play and having fun - so I always strive for this balance to keep my pupils motivated and smiling!
Until recently I was balancing my piano work with another part-time job. However I have recently gone full-time on the piano meaning I can combine live performing with my passion for teaching new pupils.
I don't just treat pupils as appointments in the diary - I will support you in between lessons and send you clips / videos where I think they will support your learning.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced player looking to refine your technique, I offer personalised piano lessons online and in and around Malvern.
Lessons can be 30 / 45 / 60 minutes long.
Lessons are tailored to your ability and interest. We can focus on formal training for grades, rock and jazz piano to wow your friends, or something in between!
Not sure if it’s for you? I offer a free introductory lesson so you can get a feel for my teaching style and ask any questions before committing.
Learning doesn’t stop when the lesson ends. If you get stuck or need help between sessions, I’ll send short video clips to guide you through tricky sections – keeping your progress on track.
