About Uyi
I have worked with INKPLAY, a literacy enterprise teaching reading and English using innovative teaching methods. During my service year teaching Literature-in-English, I offered private English Language and Literature in English lessons as well as Use of English tutorials to combat the students' lack of foundation.

People learn differently which is why my lessons are mostly interactive to enable me understand my students and their needs and tailor the experience to suit them. I also understand that a lot of people of all ages approach formal learning with some hostility so I remove as much formality from my lessons as I can without changing the content of the topic. For instance, when teaching plays to students who have comprehenshion issues and very little desire to read, I have used audio-visual versions of the plays, like Othello: the movie, when teaching Shakespeare's Othello.
