About Addie
While I currently study English and Art History at the University of St. Andrews, I grew up in the US and Germany in a very international environment. I’m passionate about language learning and supporting others, regardless of background, to achieve their linguistic goals. During the International Baccalaureate program, I often worked with non-native English speakers to polish their written work, and am happy to do proof-reading for any of my students. I have additional experience teaching theatre to young students, so am comfortable with a wide range of ages.

My teaching methodology is practical: while grammar and textbook based lessons are helpful building blocks in language learning, traditional language classes rarely give the student enough opportunity to speak and become truly conversationally fluent.
