About Ayakha
I am a Linguistics and English major student at the University of Cape Town. I also have a 120 Hour TEFL certificate. I have always been an A student in languages i.e English and Xhosa Home Language, and that always resulted in me being elected to tutor my peers throughout my high school career. I also have experience in teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language to Kazakh and Japanese students and have conducted well over 120 lessons in 2021. With that being said, I am willing to teach beginners to advanced level students

I believe that everyone is different and that the world needs to be more accommodating . Therefore, my teaching method is absolutely based on each student's learning style and rate of learning, even in group set ups. I assess each person I am about to tutor by means of a brief conversation to better understand them and adjust my teaching methods according to their needs and comfortability. The teaching structure will therefore vary according to the students' needs and capabilities. A no pressure approach to assessment of progress is always going to be adapted to the needs of the student. This means it will not be exclusive to examining only, but rather incorporate audio and visual means that will be encouraging.
