About Jacqueline
I am a translator and interpreter with a Masters in Spanish and my Thesis in Translation Studies. I spent a year abroad in Madrid, Spain, and I have previously taught the intro to Spanish class at Bowling Green State University, as well as have tutored at all levels of Spanish, high school and college.

While tutoring someone who is already enrolled in a separate class, I tend to try to follow the structure presented by their instructor while troubleshooting areas that the individual may have trouble with and often use analogies to other subjects to try to help them understand according to their skills and interests. While teaching my own course, I will often follow the general progression found in many Spanish books while also teaching primarily in Spanish in order to offer a a communicative approach with the ultimate goal of being able to speak more rather than simply read and write Spanish for the first few years of instruction.
