About Miranda

There’s no denying that music adds so much flavour to life – from listening to favourite songs to exuberance when dancing, a life without music is devoid of colour and joy. A bit of background to get started: I am a musician and teacher passionate about inspiring my students to cultivate a love for music and help to develop their talents. After completing my studies in London at the Royal College of Music last year, I now accompany singers in concerts. I do pit orchestra work with theatre companies and was lucky enough to be selected to sing in the film 'Hunkydory', a musical set in South Wales. Additionally, I perform at other professional engagements such as weddings, WI meetings, functions and shows and have played in the Gwyn Hall café in Neath providing light entertainment before cinema screenings. Other work includes Swansea Purple flag entertainment and Mermaid Quay entertainment in Cardiff. When it comes to teaching, for over 12 years, I’ve taught students of all ages and abilities, advising, guiding, and encouraging them to go beyond their potential. Whether you want to play for the pleasure of playing an instrument, or you’re an ardent beginner ready to progress to an intermediate level, or you already play or sing but want to improve your abilities, I can help. I will listen to your aspirations and any fears and give you practical yet valuable tips about how to enhance your talents and skilfully pass your exams. My tailor-made lessons are fun and invigorating and will reflect your favourite genre of music as well as introduce you to new ones. My rates are reasonable and I offer discounts based on monthly bookings. Whether you want to learn to play the clarinet or enhance your musical knowledge through in-depth theory, you can count on my expertise and knowledge to expand your skills, nurture your passion, and help you to succeed.
