About Beverly

About Me I am a certified elementary teacher with extensive experience in teaching English Language Arts to Pre-K through 5th grade students. I specialize in helping young learners develop strong reading, writing, and language skills while building confidence and a love for learning. My teaching approach is structured, research-based, and tailored to each child’s needs. I combine engaging activities, guided practice, and individualized instruction to ensure every student can succeed. I focus not only on academic growth but also on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment, where students feel motivated and proud of their progress. Whether your child needs extra support, enrichment, or help strengthening foundational literacy skills, I provide professional, patient, and results-driven tutoring. My goal is to help every student reach their full potential while fostering a positive and confident approach to learning. If you want, I can create an even punchier, “hooky” version that grabs attention immediately while keeping all of these professional reassurances. This is ideal for Superprof where parents often skim profiles. Do you want me to do that?

About the lesson

My Teaching Method and Techniques I am a certified elementary teacher who uses research-based, age-appropriate strategies to support each child’s learning style. My instruction focuses on phonics, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and language development. Lessons are engaging, structured, and individualized to help students build both skills and confidence. A Typical Lesson Plan Each lesson begins with a brief review and a clear learning goal. I model new skills, guide students through practice, and provide opportunities for independent work. Lessons end with feedback, encouragement, and simple strategies families can use to support learning at home. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor My experience as a certified classroom teacher allows me to identify learning gaps and adjust instruction effectively. I create a supportive, positive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace and celebrating progress. Who My Lessons Are For My lessons are designed for Pre-K through 5th grade students needing support or enrichment in English Language Arts, including reading, writing, phonics, grammar, and comprehension. I work with all ability levels and tailor lessons to meet each child’s individual needs.
