About Matthew
I am a licensed teacher in Oregon with multiple M.A. degrees in teaching and philosophy. I have years of experience working with kids and with fsmilies, and 3 years of licensed teaching experience. 2 years of student teaching in Lane County, including a year at Kalapuya High School, and a year of salaried Middle School AND Hisgh School teaching in rural Alaska. I'm currently registered as a Substitute Teacher for Lane County.

I believe strongly in encouraging student self-efficacy. I believe in forming strong supportive and collaborative relationships with each student and their oarents/guardians. I will also consult and work with the teachers of each focus subject. We will work together to formulate a learning plan, which will be re-assessed and evaluated regularly and adjusted when necessary to get each student to the desired objectives.

Details
Although it says $50 dollars on my ad, I am willing to negotiate with you. We will negotiate a signed agreement. The first lesson is free, so I can meet your child or children and discuss with you and each child what is needed before working out the logistics. For more than 1 or 2 kids, I'll need a little more to compensate for the extra time and labor.
