About Shiarra
I am a dedicated English tutor with a background in Psychology and experience teaching young learners through both online ESL classes and in-school support. As a Registered Psychometrician, I bring a strong understanding of how students learn, allowing me to tailor lessons to each child’s needs and learning style.
I have worked with students in developing their grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills using interactive and engaging methods. My lessons typically run for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age, attention span, and learning needs. I structure sessions with a warm-up, focused lesson, interactive practice, and a short review to ensure understanding while keeping students engaged throughout.
• Experience:
I have experience as an ESL online teacher, where I taught Science, Math, grammar, vocabulary, and conversational English using interactive methods that increased student participation. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am a Registered Psychometrician, which helps me apply effective learning and behavioral strategies in teaching.
• My lessons are designed for children and young learners, particularly beginners to intermediate levels. I work well with students who need help building foundational English skills, improving communication, or gaining confidence, including those who benefit from patient, supportive, and personalized instruction.
