About Emma

I am a passionate educator who loves to learn with and from my students! From many years spent in classroom settings, I appreciate the value of making lessons accessible to all students regardless of their learning style. I pride myself on tailoring lessons to students' interests whenever possible while also honoring structured, research-based methods for teaching early literacy.

About the lesson

I believe in a lesson that is fun, engaging, and applicable for students in their day to day lives. Being able to read and write begins with early skills like letter recognition, phonemic and phonological awareness, etc. I like to use a blend of games, visuals, and incorporate movement into activities to keep kids engaged and promote their retention of information learned.

My lessons are geared toward children in the range of Kindergarten-2nd grade at any reading level.
