About Taylor
My favorite feeling when teaching/tutoring/editing is when I can help a student get a score they needed on a standardized test (SAT/ACT) to get into their goal college, or improve their grades in school. As a librarian and a teacher of English, I hope to inspire a an appreciation of our amazing language and of reading in all students.
Reading is the path to all knowledge, and how we learn about any topic of our choosing. Strong reading comprehension skills and polished written communication skills unlock an array exciting and worthwile career paths for any person who achieves them.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from St. Joseph's College and have worked teaching the SAT/ACT Reading/Writing/Essay sections for 8+ years, both for Huntington Learning Center and independently. I have a ton of hands-on experience teaching children and teens of different ages and in different settings.
I went on to Graduate with a Master's Degree in Library Science from Queens College and am currently a Reference Librarian at a public library in Suffolk County. As a trained librarian, I have excellent research skills and attention to detail, as well as flexibility, and the abilty to adujust my teaching style to each student.
