About Sara
I have been teaching since my junior year of high school, beginning as a Latin tutor at my local elementary school and continuing through college. My most recent experience was as an assistant teacher at an after school program for a nearby elementary school. Overall, I have taught about thirty or forty students. Many of my Latin students have continued with their studies as they now enter middle school. My after school program students have seen improvements in the amount of homework that they are able to complete without help or instruction, as well as experiencing a better understanding of their teachers' lessons.

I am a college freshman who is transitioning to London for my sophomore year from America. I give lessons to primary students struggling with English and reading. My lesson structure is centered around phonics and the importance of grammar. I understand that many students may not be successful in their classes because they view it as unimportant, so I use entertaining literature and creative writing assignments to change this perspective. I do think that any and all students have the ability to succeed, even where they do not see success as a possibility.
