About Brooke
I am completing a maths A-Level and have been tutoring maths for 5 years now. Every person I have tutored has improved their grade. I thoroughly enjoy watching my students improve as it brings them great relief and satisfaction. I have recently gone through exams, lessons and homework, so I am sure I could relate to any students with empathy and a special knowledge to what you are going through. I can alter my method of teaching to your needs, and am able to adapt to whatever you need to do to thrive. I usually use questions, content notes and examples to help explain the topics in an easily understandable way, and have the patience to repeat a topic as often as needed if your mind truly cannot comprehend it. Together we can ensure you improve.

For several years now I have been a maths tutor, as well as for a short while, an English tutor. I have taught ages from 11-18 and coached sports to ages 7-11. This means I am certain I will be able to adapt my teaching to your age, your ability, what you need to learn and how you want to learn it. Often I will create slides, or write out a booklet to work through. This will include an introduction/recap to a topic as well as a step by step example and some trial questions to ensure the knowledge has stuck. Usually after the initial introduction, I will run through the example I have with you, at a pace you are comfortable with, then bring up another question to work through together. When we are confident (or when you want to), you can attempt a question or 2 on your own. Repeating examples together and a reexplanation if its necessary. In later sessions I will incorporate this topic into a question, or simply give you a question as a recap so you have to recall the topic, which will help you remember it long-term, and can hopefully make you feel good about your progress. I can provide questions for you to attempt on your own at home but although I encourage it, this is not mandatory, just for if you want to take that extra step to re-establish the topic. I would never want my "homework" to risk the quality of your schoolwork.
This is all adaptable, all mouldable. If one method doesn't work for you, we will find a new way that does.
