About Joshua

My name is Josh. I am a 18-year-old A-level student, currently studying maths, physics, economics and biology. I recently completed my iGCSE’s and achieved good grades, including seven grade 9s in maths, physics, biology, English lit, Rs, Latin and geography. I play Rugby and am a qualified Windsurfing instructor. Looking forward to helping students with the experience and exam technique that I’ve gained over the last few years.

About the lesson

iGCSE/GCSE with a high understanding of exam technique and mark scheme. We will look at exam papers and go over any aspect of the course that is requested. The English literature GCSE/iGCSE primarily requires essay technique and structure to achieve high marks. In lessons we will look at the poetry, drama and prose analysis and how the different essays differ. The English language GCSE/iGCSE primarily requires exam technique and practice. Lessons therefore will be focused on example questions and exam practice. We will also look at how to analyse the command word in the question to ensure the question's criteria are being met in order to gain the maximum marks.

Amalie's son, Thisus, was an extremely polite and diligent student. Over 3 months we worked upon his English literature skills in preparation for his entrance exams for secondary school. I was very pleased to hear the lessons paid off and he was accepted. Highly recommend as a student!
