About John
I am a student studying Maths, Further Maths and Computer science, who is always been very passionate for teaching. This is shown as I have been tutoring for a couple months amassing over 200 hours. I love tutoring as I always enjoy seeing progress being made in my students, getting to know my students well and setting a safe space for a good learning environment, as I aspire for all my students to achieve the best grades they can receive.

My approach to tutoring is to first perform a baseline assessment, seeing the students weak points and being able to identify them and improve them. After seeing these weak points, I deliver expert lessons tackling the common misconceptions and also use out of the ordinary techniques in order to reach the answer by teaching in a more creative way. I am also a firm believer in understanding rather than memorisation, therefore the way I teach is for my students to really have a grasp of a concept, instead of memorising aimlessly. I intend to set my students tailored homework after every session so they have an opportunity to consolidate their skills.
