About Obaapa
I am a high-achieving Sixth Form student with some spare time to teach primary and secondary school students. I have tutored a variety of abilities in and outside school with academic subjects and piano.
I enjoy teaching because I love to see the progress students make over time. I have seen many who start with little confidence and motivation, then choose to work in their own time and share their thoughts with me. As someone who is still taking examinations, I realise the benefit of someone to go through areas of weakness with outside of school hours.

I deliver 1 hour lessons via Zoom. I got into a grammar school for both secondary school and Sixth Form, as well as achieving 10 Grade 9s/A** and 1 Grade 8/A* at GCSE. I am able to provide relevant lessons targeted to exam boards and school entrance exams due to my recent experience.
Whilst tutoring, my aim is to build my student’s confidence and understanding so they are able to tackle questions in exam situations. I do this by going through an array of practice questions, explaining how I would go about answering them if they are unsure. I also use an Online Whiteboard platform, which the student can use live time to ensure they are engaged with the lesson. Lastly, I aim to set homework on a weekly basis, which will go through at the beginning of the next lesson.
