About Sara
My own experiences as a student have facilitated my understanding of schooling systems, and how students benefit additionally from 1:1 learning. It provides more personalized targets, tailored towards what is most effective for the person. It also means we can use more specific methods; for example if you prefer to learn by first having an example question explained then working through it independently. Or alternatively, you may find it easier to attempt a question or set of questions and we can use this to identify what may be an issue and then work through examples together.

I am a year 13 student studying English Literature, Mathematics and Psychology! I have previously helped younger years through a maths mentoring scheme, as well as receiving a qualification to teach English as a foreign language. I take a personalised approach to teaching; identifying areas of maths which are problematic and working through problems systematically based on level of difficulty. I have previously had experience with students both who's skills are beyond their age group and are looking to increase their understanding of more advanced problems and those working towards maths GCSE exams who were looking for additional assistance. Therefore, I offer 1 hour sessions for students aged 11-16.
Alternatively, CV and forms of formal writing skills are vital to the corporate and working world, and I firmly believe it is important to be fluent in them. A well written CV helps you stand out as a candidate; learning how to discuss your past experiences and how they make you valuable for the role is vital. Through discussing your achievements and past engagements and experiences we can demonstrate a strong portfolio of skills which present you as a strong candidate for your desired position. I offer one hour sessions for any ages, as these are valuable language abilities which can be useful for anyone navigating the working world.
