I have a master's degree in cell and molecular biology and a doctorate in microbiology and molecular genetics. My research experience has been in parasitology, cancer genetics, and microbiome studies. I have worked in both the academic and private institution settings.

Although I do not have a formal education in teaching, my graduate school responsibilities included teaching at the college level. I also enjoy substitute teaching at both the high school and elementary school levels.
