About Sean
I am an Honors Graduate BSc (Pure and Applied Maths 2.1) and I have a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics. I have experience working in Industry as well as teaching. I have been teaching since 1992 (11 to 18) especially in high performing Grammar Schools in the UK as well as teaching in the UAE. I try and boost confidence and give students skills to quickly gain success. Students I have taught have secured places at universities in the UK and USA.

I enjoy tutoring because I focus on explaining key concepts clearly and logically in a calm and helpful way. I ask questions frequently to ensure understanding and confidence is being gained. I teach exam techniques and methods of explanation that are clear and elegant; what examiners may be looking for to gain most marks. lessons are typically 45 to 60 minutes long (but can be extended if necessary). I aim to make students confident in all topics so that they are more resilient and can understand important links between topics. My students achieve higher grades because they get consistent practice and targeted support using examination standard questions.
