About Jordy
Hi! I’m Jordan, an A Level History student based in South Africa and a native English speaker. I have always loved the subject and understand that starting out can sometimes feel overwhelming, which is why I’m here to offer clear, friendly support. Although I specialise in beginner-level History teaching, my own studies give me a solid understanding of the subject. I help students build a strong foundation through simple explanations, organised content, and regular practice. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable and approachable so that you feel more confident with every session. Whether you need help understanding key events, timelines, or basic concepts, I’m happy to guide you step by step in a patient and encouraging way.

I’m a History tutor who specialises in helping absolute beginners and early learners build a solid foundation.
I keep lessons clear, patient and encouraging. I break topics into simple steps, explain ideas in everyday language, and use short quizzes and practice questions so students can check their understanding as they go. My focus is on making History interesting and easy to follow, rather than overwhelming.
I teach in English (native speaker).
We start with a short introduction to the topic, then go through the key points together using simple explanations and examples. I share clear notes and finish with a few practice questions or a quick test so you can see what you’ve learned.
Aimed at beginner-level students (complete beginners or those just starting History) who want friendly, structured support to understand basic concepts, timelines, and important events without feeling pressured.
