About Charlie

I am an undergraduate Sports and Exercise Science (BSc) student at Canterbury Christ Church University, with a genuine passion for sport and education. I am a current University Sport Scholar and a former national league basketball player, which gives me a strong level of sporting knowledge alongside real-world, applied experience. I use practical sporting examples to bring academic content to life and help students truly understand what they are learning, not just memorise it.

Prior to my degree, I studied A-level Biology, giving me advanced knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, including systems such as the heart and lungs. This allows me to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and at a level suited to each student. I also studied A-level English, so I can confidently support students with exam technique, answer structure, and written communication—skills that are essential for achieving higher grades.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, engaging, and tailored to the individual. I aim to build confidence, improve understanding, and help students apply knowledge effectively in exams and coursework.

About the lesson

Work through specific modules personal to your own strengths and weaknesses.
Work on finding efficient revision techniques and exam techniques to get you exam ready and start seeing improvements in your results.
Have fun while learning, I don’t want to sit there reading to you for an entire session I want to make the lessons engaging so they stick with you.

Perfect! Charlie helped me with my confidence in the lead up to my mocks. Made lessons fun and engaging with lots of exam questions built in to make sure the content is well learnt.
