About Tommy
Hi I'm Tommy!
I’m a First-Class Master’s graduate in Theoretical Physics from the University of Manchester, with previous experience working as a private Maths and Physics tutor.
I really enjoy teaching and helping students develop a genuine understanding of Maths and Physics. I aim to make difficult concepts feel simple and approachable by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps, focusing on why things work rather than simply memorising equations. This helps students build confidence and apply their understanding to unfamiliar problems.
I’m based in London (E14) and can offer in-person lessons within a reasonable travelling distance. I also offer online lessons, so I’m happy to work with students further afield.

Your first lesson is completely free, giving you the chance to get a feel for my teaching style and see whether I’m the right tutor for you, with no commitment.
Lessons are one hour long and are tailored to you. We can structure our sessions around your individual goals, whether that means building a stronger understanding of a particular topic, working through exam-style questions, revising difficult areas, or a mixture of all three. For students preparing for GCSEs or A-Levels, we can also focus on exam technique.
Ultimately, the lessons are yours, so we can adapt the pace, content and teaching style depending on what you find most useful.
