About Jan
Back in Year 9, I couldn’t think of anything more dull than studying a language—it was just another compulsory subject. But looking back, I can’t imagine where I’d be if I hadn’t chosen French. Over the past four years, I’ve developed a true passion for it, especially speaking, where I was proud to achieve full marks at GCSE. Now, I plan to continue my French journey by studying it alongside Management at university. I really believe that not enough people realise the value of speaking another language, and my goal is to help my students develop skills that will not only help them achieve the grades they want, but will also stay with them for life—whether they choose to pursue French further or not.

My classes will be tailored to each student's weak areas in French, whether it's grammar, speaking confidence, or listening practice—all challenges I initially faced myself! I know exactly which aspects of GCSE French can significantly boost your grade, and I’m committed to helping you achieve this. Each lesson will be one hour long, though I’m happy to offer some flexibility based on your needs. With experience in tutoring Maths and English up to GCSE Level, I understand the importance of adapting my teaching to suit each student and, most importantly, ensuring they truly grasp the material. My lessons are open to French students up to GCSE Level (up to 16 years old).
