About Abi
I’m Abi. I’m 17 years old and an aspiring English teacher. I have a passion and love for reading and writing that I want to be able to share and nurture within others. I want to be able to help students not only thrive while studying English, but also learn to love it. Communication is the backbone of all relationships and opportunities. I have experience as a tutor, outside and inside school. I have completed work experience as a teaching assistant at a primary school. This combination of experience has lead to incredibly strong communication skills and an in-depth understanding of the importance of positive reinforcement. I have studied teacher talk and how to effectively utilise a position of power within the context of the classroom and as a teacher. I am able to personalise lessons to each student to ensure effective learning that will accompany what is learnt within the classroom.
